How to Shift Your Energy

The weekend is almost here, but my energy this morning was low, cranky, and unfocused.
There are plenty of completely understandable and rational reasons why I woke up feeling the way I did, AND I was fully aware that I hold the power to either accept the exhaustion, or choose to shift it with a few intentional actions.
1. Checked in with myself
I woke up feeling tired. I did not want to roll out of bed and wake up at my normally scheduled time. I gave myself a few minutes more than usual to assess the situation. I could choose to relax this morning and take a break from my morning ‘power hour’, or I could choose to shift my sluggish energy by getting myself up and doing my usual routine, despite my crankiness. There are occasions I’ll skip the morning routine and rest, but today I decided to get up and start the day!
*There is no right or wrong! Its always our choice how we want to feel and what actions we will take to embrace the circumstance.
2. Practiced Gratitude
Did you know that when we focus on what we have to be grateful for, we attract even more of that? Thankfully, I do this every morning, making it extremely simple for me to think of things for which I am grateful. When I start thinking on the positive side of things instead of how exhausted I am, I instantly feel better.
* What blessings are you now experiencing in your life? How could you direct more of your attention and time toward that?
3. Got Moving
There's no better approach to raise our energy than by movement. When we get moving, endorphins are released, and these can significantly improve our mood. Regular exercise keeps our spirits up and helps us release pent-up energy. So, to get things going this morning, I hopped on the treadmill for twenty minutes!
*It's not necessary to have an intense, sweat-producing workout to get the body moving and release some energy. When you're feeling a little lethargic, how can you add a little movement?
4. Prepared a Healthy, Mindful Breakfast
I made a conscious effort to eat a light healthy breakfast before going to work even though I secretly wanted to grab a quick bar and get out of the house. I carefully crafted some avocado toast with tomato and olive oil, salt, and pepper on whole grain bread. I felt nourished by this as I slowed myself down before starting the day. Our vibration is directly impacted by the foods we eat and by the mindfulness we allow ourselves as we eat.
*Its easy to grab and go…or toss down some food as we scroll on our devices… Where might you take a few extra moments to prepare and appreciate the food that will nourish your soul?
There are so many tools to tap into when you are just not feeling the energy and focus. These were just a few that I utilized this morning to get me going and prepare me for a beautiful start to the weekend!
Are you aware that you can literally change your life and attract more good into it by consciously choosing things that will raise your vibration?
Raising your vibration is a journey, not a destination. Practice becoming consciously aware of adding tools to increase your vibration. The higher your vibe, the more you attract positivity into your life.
