Ready to Attract More Love in Your Life?

With Valentine’s Day coming up, and the marketing engines in full swing with red and pink hearts everywhere, Whitney Houston’s song Greatest Love of All keeps playing in my mind.

🎶 The greatest love of all is easy to achieve.

Learning to love yourself…It is the greatest love of all!

It’s true….learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.  But we often forget this and instead look externally to fill in what we are not giving to ourselves.

We attract what we are.

When we want to bring more love into our lives, we need to first match the energy that we want to attract by loving ourselves in the same way we want to be loved.

As a culture, we often undervalue the benefits of self-love such as saying no, setting boundaries, not celebrating our achievements, and putting everyone else’s needs above our own.

We also tend to overvalue selflessness.   When we take care of ourselves, we start to feel bad.  We downplay our achievements.  We don't give ourselves the love and attention we deserve and instead of trusting ourselves, we ask other people what they believe we need.

When we believe we need someone else to fulfill our needs, we can be left feeling a void where we ‘think’ we need to look externally to fill up with the love we are not giving ourselves.

A client of mine made a commitment to herself last year to finally give herself the love and attention she has been seeking.

“After being single for over 7 years and trying everything else, I remembered that life is short and I was tired of the unproductive and tired cycle I had been on for decades. I couldn’t run from the pain anymore because I knew that didn’t work. I couldn’t ignore it. I had to decide to be fully engaged in finding my self-love and to finally face the uncomfortable. I decided that when I felt the “uncomfortable”, instead of covering it up, I had to start to lean in and feel it. I had to strip away all my bandaids that were not helpful at all (scrolling, eating, tv, working too much, etc)! Instead, I created new routines of getting fresh air, journaling, finding healthy connections with people and most importantly, changing my inner dialogue.   Hiring a life coach, not just any life coach, kept me consistent and focused! I decided that now is the time to change. Our lives will not get any better without active engagement in them.” ❤️  —Empowered client

Here are some of the shifts she made:

  • She changed her thoughts to focus on the potential, instead of the bad.

  • She listened to her body and followed through with what it needed.

  • She found joy in the little things.

  • She let go of things that weren’t meant for her.

  • She reminded herself that there is a greater power (god, nature, guardian angels, etc) on her side helping me co-create life.

  • She asked the higher power several times a month to show her where my blind spots are and to show her where growth can happen.

  • She noticed that when she feels connected, she can soften what felt like harsh reality.

*Side note:  She already kicked off 2025 meeting one of the kindest and most generous men she has ever known.

Self-love is magnetic.

Finding time to care for ourselves is one of the best ways to raise our energy and attract love in all ways. Practicing more self-love is a process, but if we don’t commit to making ourselves a priority and speaking our truths from the heart, nobody else will.

Learning to love yourself IS the greatest love of all!  And when you feel authentic unconditional love and support for yourself, you will attract the same energy to you!
