What Is Scarier than Wearing Masks for Halloween?

I am inspired by the upcoming holiday of Halloween!
On this holiday, we are all invited to playfully choose to become something different than we typically show up in our daily lives. We can wear masks and costumes to be something or somebody who is sillier, scarier or more confident than we perceive ourselves to be. Its a fun opportunity to hide who we really are and be who we want to be for the moment.
But, have you considered that many of us also wear metaphorical masks in our daily lives? We may portray ourselves in a way that we can ‘blend in’ with others in our lives but is also incongruent with who we really are.
We may wear masks to hide our:
Fear of being perceived as different
Potential consequences of actually being seen
Feeling of not being good enough with who we actually are
Perceived pain of being fully transparent
Unknowing of who we truly are
Are you curious of what it might feel like to take the mask off?
If this sparked something in You…Follow It. Let's turn your clarity into momentum. Connect for a coaching conversation here.
